If you’ve been under a rock this summer, then you haven’t seen the news. Barbie has a brand new movie directed by Greta Gerwig and starting Margot Robbie as Barbie. It's caused a global shortage of pink!
I whipped up a delicious Barbie-sour inspired by the movie. While I could have made a Malibu-Barbie based drink - Malibu is better left in my early 20’s. The Barbie Sour cocktail has now become my drink of the summer!
Come on Barbie, let’s go party!
What you’ll need:
- 2 oz Aperol
- 1 oz Gin
- 1 oz Lemon juice
- ¾ oz Simple Syrup
- 1 Egg White
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
- Optional garnish: pink edible flower petals
Directions:
- Add ingredients to cocktail shaker. Dry shake without ice.
- Add ice to cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for at least one minute.
- Strain using a fine strainer into a coupe glass
- Garnish with edible flower petals and enjoy!
